About the Instructor

Workshops are led by Valerie Teng, MD, a board certified family physician who practices and teaches at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Teng has taught medical reasoning and procedure-based workshops for high school students, college students, post-baccalaureate students, and medical students. She was the Co-Director of Stanford Family Medicine's Minor Procedure Service. In addition to her role as Clinical Associate Professor, she currently serves as the Executive Director of the Stanford Medical PostBacc Fellowship Program (COMET). She is combining her passions for practicing medicine, performing office-based medical/surgical procedures, and inspiring students interested in the field of medicine to bring CampMed and CampMedMini conferences to a location near you.
